We have the pleasure of speaking with an emerging talent in the world of basketball, Nikola Petojevic. At such a young age, Nikola has already made a significant impact on the court, showcasing his skills, dedication, and passion for the game by playing for KK Dynamic Belgrade and KK Promo Donji Vakuf. With his impressive performances and promising potential, he is quickly becoming a name to watch in the basketball Serbian and Bosnian community.

DBA: Nikola, thank you for joining us. How are you doing?
Nikola: Thank you for asking, l am doing great.

DBA: Can you tell us a little about your background and how you first got into basketball?
Nikola: Well, at the beginning I was training in football, but I saw that it wasn’t going well, so I decided to switch to basketball, and that’s where I found myself.

DBA: Who were your biggest inspirations growing up, both on and off the court?
Nikola: My biggest inspiration was my dad, who was always there for me.

DBA: What moment or experience made you realize that basketball was something you wanted to pursue seriously?
Nikola: When I realized that it makes me happy and fulfills me, I knew it was definitely my life.

DBA: Can you describe your daily training routine?
Nikola: Because I’m currently out of season, I’m preparing for the next season. My day starts with morning basketball training, followed by running and gym in the afternoon.

DBA: Can you share a memorable game or moment that stands out in your career?
Nikola: It was the game between KK Mladost Zemun and KK Dynamic. With 10 seconds left, Mladost was leading by 2 points. Then I hit a three-pointer with 3 seconds left and won the game.

DBA: What are your short-term and long-term goals in basketball?
Nikola: Right now, I want to play as well as possible next season. In the future, like every player dreams, I would like to play in the Euroleague.

DBA: Are there any specific players or teams you aspire to play with or against in the future?
Nikola: I would really like to play against any Euroleague team, and especially against LeBron James.

DBA: How do you stay motivated and focused, especially during tough times?
Nikola: Every player has bad periods. We should be less nervous; there are always bad days and good days. It is important to see every week as a new challenge.

DBA: What does a typical off-day look like for you?
Nikola: When I’m free, I like to sleep as long as possible to rest, and I enjoy spending time with the people I love.
